Soft, natural warmth for little adventurers
This beautifully quilted Bacchako (meaning "Baby's" in Nepalese) chanchanko (traditional Japanese sleeveless jacket) is lovingly made from a blend of hemp and silk — with hemp used for the warp and silk for the weft. The result is a breathable, lightweight fabric that softens gently over time. Both the undyed lining and naturally dyed outer are made from the same handwoven material, while the quilted middle layer is filled with 100% silk for warmth and comfort.
Available in two earthy tones:
Pomegranate Green (dyed with pomegranate peel)
Indigo Blue (dyed with indigo leaf)
Both colours feature an Acacia Brown border (dyed with acacia resin).
Though designed to fit children aged 1 to 3, our own little one started wearing his at 9 months (with the sleeves rolled) and loved it until Year 5 — proof that this piece grows beautifully with your child.
