Now based in the UK, Nathan Schreiber produces both functional & ornamental crafts under the name of Atslan.

Nathan Schreiber is the sole craftsman behind the name Atslan and has been producing a wide array of products since 2004. In those early days, products were displayed for retail with Asian Pride through many events during the Japanese festival seasons until 2009, which saw the startup of Sorazora within the UK. As a partner of Sorazora, Nathan tries to find time to create items crafted from wood, bone, leather, natural fibres and even painting.
With and education in graphic design & typography and influences of Japanese and natural imagery, his work is often simple with strong stylised graphical images. Attention to small detail is an important part of his production process as is his choice of materials.

A love and appreciation of all the arts and crafts has allowed Nathan to experiment with different mediums. "I have yet to try my hand at kiln fired ceramics and would love to spend more time working with wood, but to be honest, my main pleasure is working with leather and bone. If I have time, I also find great enjoyment in using acrylics on canvas and more recently oils. Designing products for Sorazora will always take priority over Atslan!"
As a part-time craftsman, Nathan is not a studious artist and prefers to create individual items as and when time allows. A selection of his work will be permanently showcased within Sorazora's online store for retail.
